4. The Theleia Stone

At the centre of the Twelve, the Zalladdria Thalladrimm, there was once positioned a powerful celestial stone. Not just any celestial stone, for there are others, but this was a stone whose substance was so intricately wrought, that if it were expanded in size so we might physically move around between its tiniest parts, the result would be a universe more wondrous than even the one we inhabit. In fact, some have suggested, that our universe is a magnified reflection of the real universe contained in the Theleia Stone itself, and that the size of our universe, being physically larger, has resulted in imperfection in the macrocosm we inhabit, imperfections not there in the original that resides within the Theleia Stone. 

The Theleia Stone

Whatever the case, the fact is that the Theleia Stone was once as the beating heart of the Zalladdria Thalladrimm, and that by it, their powers were made manifest in the world and the world was kept in a state of perfection resembling that which dwells in the inner universe of the Theleia Stone itself. However, at some time in the past, it went astray, and after it did cracks, and fractures began to appear in the world of The Star Stone, and by extension, our world..

It is thought that it was at this time in history that the being who became Thakragg first developed the longing for greater power over creation, at first only to achieve greater good in the world as he himself was mindful of those cracks and fissures which he saw from his lofty abode out of the sight of men, but the power he attained was too much even for his deep and vast insight, and so he fell into corruption, slowly at first, taking along with him another of his kind though lesser in power. Together they sank the world into the first Shadow Age.

"‘The Sentinels [The Twelve} used to wield unimaginable power over the world, even over the worlds beyond this one. And they were able to do this as long as at their centre dwelt the great jewel of jewels. It has a name. It is the Theleia Stone. So long as this precious stone resided at the centre of the Sentinels they had much power. Those learned in such things will tell you that with the Theleia Stone present, they could act as one and they could control the universe, from the ground upon which they stood to the farthest reaches of the dwelling places of the stars—'"
